May 20th Marldon v Torquay
Les H, Graham, & Terry were 5 -0 up after just two ends and were 8 shots up after 13 ends and with a very good finish, opened the gap to 20 shots, to win 27-7.
Gordon P, Bryan and Peter were in a much closer game early on and at the half way point were losing 10-11. Following the tea break Marldon scored 4, 4, 1, and 5 to take a 24-11 lead, but Torquay rallied again to within 4 shots, before a 7 on the 16th end gave Marldon the lead they needed to win the game, with a final score 32-22.
Overall Result - Marldon 59 - Torquay 29

May 13th Marldon v Brixham
Bob, Craig and Terry won 4 of the first 6 ends but then scored an 8 on the 7th end to give themselves a comfortable 15-2 lead. Marldon continued to win ends and at the end won the game 22-7
Gordon P, Steve and Len slipped behind early in their game and at 11 ends were 6-12 behind. Working hard, they only let Brixham get two more points as they pulled back the deficit, winning the last 4 ends to tie the game at 14 all.
Overall Result - Marldon 36 - Brixham 21

May 6th Kings BC v Marldon First game of Season.
Not a great start for Marldon as both rinks lost to a strong Kings Side, on their green, playing in dry weather but with a cool breeze off the sea.

Reports suggest the Totnes green is not very good at the moment, being very bumpy. The Marldon team were unable to adapt and lost the game.
