All events are subject to change/cancellation in unforseen circumstances.

Changes will be advised as soon as possible. Please advise Gillian Burchell (or the new Catering Manager) if you wish to attend any evening event so we know if it is viable to run it.

Saturday November 15th, 10am. -- Coffee Morning. (with Cake)

Quite a few people have now booked their places, book yours now please, so the event organisers know how many people they are catering for.


Indoor friendly games at Derwent Hotel

A number of indoor friendlies at the Derwent Hotel are being arranged. Please support them if you can They will appear on Rink Diary.


Monthly Bar Nights - Thursday 4th December.

Craig and Maria have offered to open the club bar on the first Thursday night of the month from 6pm. (apart from 1st January 2026) Starting in November 2025 for members wishing to go and socialise at the club. Next opening will be on Thursday 4th December.


Saturday 6th December. Mosaic making. (provisional)

If anyone is interested in taking part in a Mosaic Making session in the club, please Contact Karen Hartnell to let her know. The event can only take place if she is aware of how many people may come.


Club and Green Maintenance

The club and green maintenance sessions continue every Tuesday, 9am-12am (even in Winter!)

-- Working party at Club - there's always something to be done and more help would be appreciated.
Call Paul or Les to confirm you will be attending. (there might be pasties and coffee available)


Christmas Party - Saturday 13th December.

At the Paignton Club, the Esplanade, Paignton.
6:30 for a 7pm meal

£28 per person, event limited to 60 persons, event organisers Sue and Keith Hollins

Short Mat Bowls - in Village Hall

The Short Mat Bowls Season started on Wednesday October 1st 2025 at the Village Hall. These are friendly games open to all members, the cost is £2:50 a session.

The Shortmat league in the club started on Monday October 6th 2025 for the selected players.

Gordon has agreed to open the clubhouse from 2pm on dates of league games so that shortmat league players may have a practice session in the clubhouse in the afternoon, before the league game starts in the evening.

The public are invited to come along and try their hand at outdoor bowls. The only requirement is to wear flat soled shoes, all other equipment will be provided to allow you to try out the game for yourself on our green.
