Marldon Ladies 'A' team were one of the four shortlisted teams, from over 100 entrants, for the Bowls England Team of the Year Award after their promotion last year in difficult circumstances. The award was eventually given to the Northants team.

Our Ladies played their first game of season today in appalling drizzly weather conditions, but won on two of the three rinks and the overall result for 8 of the 10 points available.
Congratulations to Theresa Cornelius, Kay Sowerby and Trish Hamling who got a Hot Shot on their 1st end.

Playing in a heatwave, away from home, our ladies managed a win and a draw alsowinning overall to pick up 7 of the 10 points available.
